Guidance & Counseling
It’s a great day to be a Bulldog!!
My name is Sherletrice Johnson-Berry and I currently serve as the counselor at the Everman Academy High School. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where I received my formal education. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from East Texas State University, now known as Texas A&M-Commerce. I received both of my Master’s degrees in Educational Administration and Counseling from the University of North Texas-Dallas. I bring to you 15 years of experience in education as I previously taught 5th grade math for 15 years in Dallas ISD before moving to Crowley ISD to serve as a Math Specialist and School Counselor. I have spent the last two years working in Everman ISD as one of the High School Counselors in the district.
My philosophy of school counseling is as follows:
I believe that all students can learn and should be provided with equitable opportunities for quality education. I serve as the advocate for students and their families, being the line of communication between home and school. I believe all students should have access to a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses the academic, social/emotional and career needs of all students.
